BIG Piers Small Pier (75m)

This is a fully functional 75m long pier that should be built to the Boardwalk and connects with it properly!

Finally I can release piers for The Boardwalk! I struggled a lot if I should just release the piers as roads but the problem is that these wouldn’t be functional because roads do not attract people. If I want a vital pedestrian pier I would need buildings! The first idea was to provide buildings that can attract people that can be put on the pier roads. But then these buildings would need a vehicle connection. I don’t want cars on all of my small piers! So I decided to provide fully functional piers that can be directly attached to the Boardwalk!

• Pier buildings must be attached to The Boardwalk! I may release standalone buildings if there’s demand for it!
  
• Pier buildings can be found under Unique Buildings –> Water Structures
  
• Suscribe to all dependencies
  
• Don’t move the building with Move it! Otherwise the shape of the roads inside the building and pedestrian connections could be destroyed. I would suggest to rebuild it if you want it at a different position
  
• Don’t try to connect other roads to the pier building. This could result in strange pedestrian behavior

How to build BIG PIER buildings without Zoning Adjuster enabled!

1. Reverse a straight segment of the Boardwalk with a right mouse click so that it the fence is on the other side


2. Build the Pier Building while using Fine Road Anarchy. Don’t put the building too close to a junction!


3. Reverse the Boardwalk again

How to build BIG PIER buildings with Zoning Adjuster enabled!

1. Make sure Zoning Adjuster has been updated! To ensure unsub and resub to it!
2. Rebuild a straight part of the Boardwalk while pressing shift button (or any other button that you selected in Zoning Adjuster Mod options). The node markings should be yellow while building this. Build this part from the left to the right so that this part of the boardwalk is facing the wrong direction (fence to landside)


3. Build the Pier Building while using Fine Road Anarchy. Don’t put the building too close to a junction! If the connection of the pier to the boardwalk doesn’t look straight you probably did something wrong in Step 1!



4. Reverse the Boardwalk with a right mouse click.
