Another semi-interesting addon that spawned out of personal interest.

Console Commands

This addon contains plenty of console commands. These are all controlled through the CoolIcons menu under the settings tab.

These are the only console commands you should actually concern yourself with:

GrenadeWarningDistance Distance at which the hostile grenade warning appears.

ItemIconDistance Same as above, but with icons for ammo, weapons, armor etc.

SeeThruWalls Should icons appear through walls. (1 = Yes 0 = No. Default is 1)

IconSize Size of the icons.

IconOutlines Create black outlines that should help with bright maps or colors. Only use these with the base icons.


CoolIcons adds visual icons for things such as, ammo, weapons, armor batteries, health kits and active grenades.

Each one with a unique icon to represent them, and alternatives with more distinct icons.

You can modify the color and size of these icons, the distance at which they are visible and even use your own icons in place of the base ones.

NOTE: Icons are centered using the entity's collision model, not the world model. This means the icon and world model may appear separate from each other with custom entities.
