Seizure of aircraft at saffron point (beach)

Dedicated classification Cloud Clipper

The aircraft was found abandoned landed on the beach at saffron point (image 1). Reported at first light local time. It is unclear why the aircraft was abandoned as it is in full working order with 71% fuel remaining. It does not appear the aircraft can be equipped with drop tanks or refuelled mid-air so it does not appear the aircraft was out of fuel range of it’s area of operation. There does not appear to have been any attempt to scuttle or destroy the craft after landing.

(The Dedicated don’t stray on to the mainland I'm concerned the original occupant intended to return to the aircraft. Keep security on the location tight and your eyes open to anyone acting suspicious.)

The small highly modified aircraft is powered by two one one one straight through conventional turbines (image 2) configured for high fuel efficiency low RPS torque. Connected through a tandem transmission to a single variable pitch propeller (image 3). A potential design flaw is both engines are pressure fed from a single fuel pump. If the pump was to fail with the turbines at low power it is unlikely they would generate sufficient vacuum to draw in the appropriate fuel though this has not been tested.

The aircraft is also equipped with a centrifuge drive. A large flywheel mounted behind the propeller stores kinetic energy built up top over time by the turbines. So when they are disengaged the aircraft can continue to fly silently for potentially a kilometre and a half in level flight before beginning to descend to preserve airspeed. The compact and lightweight design gives the aircraft a high glide coefficient this is most likely how no one noticed it landing. There is a small group of cottages directly overlooking the beach and the presence of the aircraft was only reported at first light local time (image 4).

Interior consists of a small armoury in the tail. Assuming by gaps in the equipment racks the last occupant of the aircraft left prepared. (Where applicable the armoury’s Dedicated equipment has been refilled) (image 5). A ‘luxurious’ seating accommodation for four persons (image 6).

The connected cockpit area only has single stick and rudder control for one pilot with the co-pilot seat only offering instrument support. The cockpit instruments consists of an advance to glass cockpit (image 7) that as usual has an unorthodox but intuitive layout with primary flight information focus solely in front of the pilot (image 8) and situational and environmental information focused in front of the co-pilot (image 9).

The Aircraft contains no electronic assistance for the pilot, No roll stabiliser, altitude hold, autopilot. All control surfaces are electronically actuated with built-in secondary actuators.

Armaments consist of 2 20mm autocannon each with a reserve of 100 high explosive rounds each. (image 10)

Fire control computer has a simple twin munition select system with a single stage arm. Basic analysis indicates these weapons have limited practicality and the only effective at close range and low speed.

Final report the aircraft is an agile craft with a low stall speed able to land and take off in only a few times it’s own length. It is light enough to land on snow, sand, mud and paved runways is a short range luxurious transport, with inaccurate ineffective weapons. Most likely a pleasure craft for shuttling high ranking personal over short distances with inconsistent landing conditions.
