I'll try to recreate what you were doing to see if I can find the cause?
The driod blocks are actually using large conveyor connectors, so if you use vanilla tubes you need to convert it. The pack has a converter box with red and blue lights. Red is for vanilla small tubes, blelue is for my custom tubes, or vanilla large grid tubes, but I think that would look odd.
I have a Naboo Starfighter build that is an even number of blocks wide on account of using a 2 block wide cockpit,and all it is lacking to be perfect is an astromech that fits neatly in behind the pilot.
@TrueWhiteKnight - There is, but the first few block ideas were scrapped cause they sacked. Trying to find a way to display the Droid that would make sense for a larger grid block.
