The Medusa-class destroyer is one of the first post-revolution ships ordered by Ozslandic Red Fleet, marked by its powerful armament, fragile hull, and huge number commissioned. Its role is to close with the enemy and prevent them from reaching good firing positions against more valuable ships. Many are lost in combat, and as such they are avoided by politically-connected officers; however, most "honest" officers in the upper ranks commanded one at some point.
