描述
Xenons, the greatest threat to all life forms in the X universe. But something went wrong, where is their supreme power? Or maybe you even exterminated them already? Or is it just rumours and you just lost your last fleet under their steamroll?
This mod tries to give a solution to each of the questions. A new faction has been added to the game. Terraformer drones are the pre-xenon prototypes that have been deactivated and forgotten for a long time. But now the connection has been restored and they are starting to setup their own unique infrastructure.
A cluster with two sectors has been added to the map. One of the sectors is an industrial center and is isolated. The second is connected to each of the xenon core sectors. Once the stations are built, TF drones are ready to go.
TF drones can: stay neutral; supply xenons with resources; assist in xenon's warfare; sabotage xenon's mining operations.
The mod is not designed for direct interaction with the player. Also, don't expect immediate changes. The initial construction of industrial stations will take more than 15 hours. Further production of powerful fleets (military or haulers) takes many hours.
A brief list of what has been implemented:
  • New unique infrastructure based on the processing of hydrogen into heavy metals.
  • TF drones' warehouse and shipyards for the fleet production.
  • Preparation and dispatch of fleets to xenon sectors (assist mode).
  • Preparation and dispatch of groups of "xenon infrastructure disruptors" (resist mode).
  • Liberation of core xenon sectors (only if the sectors are not owned by the player).
  • Rebuilding and/or reinforcing of xenon shipyards.
  • Building reinforced defensive xenon stations.
  • Missile systems for xenon defense stations.
  • Building shortcuts between core xenon sectors.
  • Mini-plot to control the behavior of TF drones.
Additionally, a "switch" is available to improve roleplaying.
PS: This is a debug version so expect ~2 MB of logs per hour which are located in the "My Documents\Egosoft\X4\<accountid>\logs\xenbackup".

@Inurgi, I don't see where it could conflict.

Thank you very much for your quick replies. Perhaps one last question. I'm using the Xenon Hell 6.0 mod. Does it conflict with your mod in any way? It changes a few values for Xenon ships and the behavior of industrial ships. And it seems to halve the construction costs for Xenon ships.

@Inurgi, Gates are controlled by the warehouse. When it's minimal ready, the gate will begin to turn on/off.
And to preempt the next question... The construction sequence is: 6 factories -> warehouse -> shipyard. That's the minimum. Depending on the state of xenons, there could be more factories and shipyards.

@Inurgi. Patience, and only patience. Station construction is a very long process. All stations are fully built in ~35 hours, but the minimal ready time is half of that. However, it's worth remembering that until they're fully completed, some resources go toward their own construction, not just the xenon ships.
"Switch" shortens the plot; as soon as the TFDs are minimal ready, they begin assisting xenons. Researches concerns exclusively the plot.

Thanks for the tip. But what does the switch do, and how does it work? I first started a game with the Switch mod and Gatekeeper research activated, but nothing happened. Only when I started a game without research activated did the TFD build stations in 2F, but the gates in sector #2G are still deactivated?

@Inurgi, if you are not interested in the plot, then use (subscribe) the "switch" mentioned in the description.

How do I start the mod? To be honest, I'm not particularly interested in the story, but it annoys me that the Xenon are so weak, and I want aggressive Xenon. I hope that this mod, in conjunction with Xenon Hell 6.0, will make the Xenon a powerful force. I use the Curstom Start and have activated both researches. In the game, I am now told to “Look for Signs of old Terraformers” (incidentally, this mission is displayed regardless of whether the research is already complete or not). Where can I find these signs?

V8.0: I killed all my Xenons; they had no sectors left. I used this mod to revive them. They are now starting to conquer sectors from the AI again. I'm looking forward to fighting them again! :-)

do I really need the required mods or can I play without them ?
