描述
Replaces the default drop pod with the Nial Rover 'Crab' R2.

Feature-rich rover intended as a survival mode starter, especially if you'd rather skip the hours of manual mining realistic settings require. Process and assemble while mining without leaving the cockpit once!

Features:
  • Mining - Two mining drills
  • Survival - O2/H2 Generator and Survival Kit
  • Power - Hydrogen Engine, 15000 L Hydrogen Tank, 1.00 MWh Battery
  • Storage - Stores almost 9000 L of Cargo or over 16000 L of Ore
  • Utility - Ore Detector, Antenna, Connector
  • Comfort - Everything connected by Conveyors, Ejector

Hints:
  • To create a dock for the rover, build a large grid hinge directly into the ground and attach a small grid head with a connector. See the example picture. Half slopes are perfect as a wheel stopper for easy positioning.
  • Use the downward setting on the drills for creating a downward slope, then use the other setting for mining in a straight line.
  • If you position it slightly inclined, you can have it automatically roll forward as it mines and thus mine unattended!
  • If you get stuck in a tunnel, just wiggle your wheels a bit (left/right arrow keys). That gets it unstuck pretty much always. If that doesn't help, play with the suspension, get out your hand drill, or unload the rover.
  • The drills may try to keep pushing ore into the survival kit, preventing you from running assembly jobs. Toggle "Use Conveyor System" to off on both drills to prevent it. Ore will stay in them. You can create a shortcut for the drill group on your hotbar for this. Be aware this makes the rover front-heavy.
  • I recommend not driving any faster than the default maximum speed. This thing isn't much better at straightening itself than an actual crab - though you can use the drill hinge to try to catapult yourself.
