i see. though technically you could also buy enough for your first jump to a tungsten containing system with pixels. i believe that it will substantially increase the length of time it takes to find a starter system as well as the chance one wont ever be found glitching your save.

In vanilla starbound a forest and desert planet are guaranteed in your system, because you need a source of tungsten in order to craft the breathing EPP and gather fuel in the first place

it can easily be changed to make it require any type of landable planet. if a mod that adds landing zones to gas giants is present you could potentially even use that biome to require a gas giant. this would make the game crash if that mod (and its biome) is not present, however

looking at the code of my mod, it seems that the only required world other than the lush planet you start on is a moon. i believe it had to be done either this way or requiring forest and desert worlds as well. i guess i chose this to reduce time to find a starting system and because moons have fuel that would be used to jump to a system with those worlds anyway

Does this happen to remove forest and desert planets as requirements? My starting system didn't have them and this was the only mod I could think of

i'm really sorry but the way the game is coded doesn't allow us to require gas giants in the starting system

what if 50% chance of gas giant, 2-4 lush bois and a moon of which i cannot breathe on?

every planet type has a defined pool of resources. you can find tungsten on forest planets, desert planets, and several others, look at the starbound wiki for more information

can you make a mod where you have guaranteed tungsten on a planet in the system somewhere?
if so, please make one
