Small notice (11.3.2024):
I'm glad to see that the gmod community is still alive and using my addon. However I'm not playing gmod for years now. Updates are very unlikely. I've kept an eye on the comments to see if multiple people report the same bug. But so far I havent noticed any mod-breaking gmod-updates and I'm quite convinced that it will continue working. (That said: If the mod isn't working for you it's probably due to incompatibility with another mod.)
I wish you all the fun using it in the future. SirRanjid out. ~~

Version: 2019-10-22
Overhauled Radial Menu for quick tool and commands access. Originally made by FlyveHest, then Cmasta.
Made huge changes to it and wanted to release it because i think not only I could profit from it.

Thanks to Skinhead Larry you got a nice guide on how to use and customize the menu:

[Usage] Into the console type:
bind KEY +gb-radial
bind KEY tool_search

bind KEY "+gb-radial <preset name/ name part>"
-command could be: bind G "+gb-radial my tools"



-the preset name doesn't have to be complete for the bind it will still find it as long it's spelled correctly and long enough to only match with the preset you want
-if the name part matches with multiple presets it will take the first it finds
-if you got preset "tools" and "my tools" then "tool" will find both but "m t" will only find "my tools"
- ("" are needed here)
-command could be: bind G "+gb-radial my tools"

ONE MORE THING: Skin settings are saved in presets and settings presets. That means each preset can define what it will load from a skin preset. Just in case you wonder why your skin settings have changed when you load a different preset.

Is anyone else running into an issue with the menu not appearing? I can still open the properties menu, and can actually still select tools and such with the action key and moving the mouse appropriately, but the menu itself never appears on screen. I also noticed that in the console It's giving me an error of "[GB-Radial] You are running and outdated version."

If any of y'all know a fix, it would be much appreciated; this was by far one of my all-time favorite tools for gmod, but after having to reinstall recently this issue has been cropping up and making it almost impossible to use.

@Voltjohn: Sorry, but I can't help you. That's really a really strange error. Tho I really apprechiate seeing what effort you take trying to make my addon work for you and your good communication here.

I have tried verify the game, as far as I remember on what is broken and what not or conflicting, i have tried all options I believe, removed addon legacy every single one,checked cfg, and god knows what other, reinstalled, checked nvidia settings, i did everything. And just nothing works

@Voltjohn: Thank you for taking the effort to verify it's not another addon. However I have no clue.
Maybe try verifying your steam cache.
-Do you remember the time when it last worked for you?
-Like did you change something before it stopped working properly?
-Does it work on a multiplayer server which has the addon? (maybe you can find one through the collections this addon is in)
I mean look at bob. His problem implies that he can use it normally with the oldest question for the addon.

@bob: You stated the oldest question the addon had which is also the only question in the FAQ section here ;p
But to answer it directly: No. The server has to have this addon and the addons for the voicelines.

Would be nice to have a functioning wheel in multiplayer i could bring to quick say commands or voicelines if server ofc allows the voice lines

Sirranjid i meant i want to for example use the call outs in chat like "cheese" will this addon still work in public darkrp servers or does this addon only function in single player ?

@SirRanjid Currently disabled all possible mods and the problem still persists as am not sure why, am literally only running this mod, every other mod I have is off

@Voltjohn: I'm sure something is conflicting. Else there'd be more peoplereporting the same here. As this addon is built upon the original it also uses some of the same functions. Which further strengthens my suspicion.

@bob: If theres a console command to shout stuff, yes. If you shout stuff by saying stuff the command should be something like "say <stuff_to_shout>"
