Welcome to the USS Argonaut.

The USS Argonaut, is the first ship of the Argonaut Class which is a Star Trek Federation light cruiser/carrier, and is the second addition to my fleet with more coming...

The ship is sleek design and I have customised it a bit, making it slightly larger and styled to a StarTrek online look and feel.

It's a large ship, and does fly and does maneuver in a cruisey way, has shields and many many weapons.

I have used some great mods (my thanks to the authors) to help enhance the look and feel.. all are listed in the required items.

Yes it does have a few DLC's sorry, but it's mostly cosmetic.. nothing too structural.

SPECIAL CREDITS

- Spug for the auto docking 2.0 script, this makes docking to my dry dock a breeze

- Qarannia for the Star Trek Mod pack... is just brilliant, and includes not just many weapons, but also a warp core, replicators and other items.

you should build the uss premonition and the uss vesta they would make a great addition to your fleet including my ship the uss shangri"la refit ncc 2575

Glad to hear that worked :) That's annoying the DLC causes problems. Bugs are frustrating... last ship I did, when using the frameshift drive, every 5 secs or so, the game just stops for a half sec then keeps going.. no idea why yet.. deleted about 90% of the ship, dlc's, mods etc and no luck, yet bigger ones I have fly fine in the same world. One day I'll upgrade something and it'll just work.

Great you can publish now ! I'll subscribe and check it out. Yes shuttles are tricky. I built two.. that dock under the main saucer for the Pathfinder and Bellerophon. Docking them is an art form ! haha. The Star Trek Mod pack has to be my favourite... has some small ship deco blocks too.

Thank you. Its working now, albeit very, very, very slowly. I asked my nephew who is good in this field (well, better than me at least) and he told me that DLC Frostbite is the main problem. Somehow it don't like Argonaut, which is not suprising since this DLC Scenario is not liking vanilla Solar System Sandbox map either (lol), since when I played it, game delated on its own most Sandbox maps,and I needed to fix/rebuild game from scratch twice and once reinstal it completely.

I raised a ticked, but support told me that I need to change my Windows 7 to Windows 10... lol.

Anyway, thank you once more.

Ps: After fixing game files again (Frostbite... grrrrr) I can publish my blueprints just fine. For now I posted only vanila Lorimar/Arrow class, but building shuttles is difficult, since there is not much decorative blocks for small grids and space for fuell is limited. You can check it if you wish and any advices are welcomed and appriciated.

@Rohen I've re published the Argonaut blueprint after replacing it with a ship I know does work and copy in ok... also republished the world. The mods it has still seem ok, and it pastes in other worlds I have ok. Hopefully this will fix it. If not, you could try deleting the local copy you have. I find that can fix issues at times.

Lemme know if that fixes it. Glad the Gagarin works for you.

Do you get a error when trying to publish ?

Also wondering what works best for others... if published as worlds is best (so all mods included), or blueprints... last few I published as worlds only to help get around mods and DLC's.. I have a love/hate relationship with DLC's.. lol..

I agree that if you are building some angular, sleek or agressive shapes, then vanilla SE is very poor in this field. Anyway, I subscribed two of your ships, Gagarin is working fine, but Argonaut is not loading at all. I tried few times, including downloading all other required mods, but nothing worked, so the only option is that the main file is corrupted, so plese check it.

I do have Lorimar shuttle build (almost finished), but for some resons, I can't post my own blueprints in workshop, dunno why.

Lorimar is difficult, because I build it as universal craft, so both Ion and Hydrogen, so its a bit tight, when it comes to engineering or cargo space, but crew compartement is quite spacious.

Ps: And yes, I do have subscribed Akira, its decent, but its not to my liking. There is an empty hull, but you need to rebuild it from scratch and I don't have time for that.

@Rohen Very glad you're liking this one. Sorry the mods make life tricky, I try not to use too many, but so many give the extra touch I like. The SE Toolkit can let you do mass replacements that may help.

So you mention Akira.. I'm actually building the Alita class now which is just a slight newer version. Still working on the hull, but if you want an early look lemme know.

Not sure what I'll do next, so maybe the Arbiter as I considered that.

Thank you. Im a big fan of reverse Starfleet shapes like Argonaut, Achilles or Akira, so this mode is perfect for me, albeit I need to do a lot of fixing since im only use vanila weapons and some parts. Still, thank you very much.

Ps: I hope you will do someday an Arbiter class, but its only my hope.

@[Team Rocket] Meowth Mods are good. The Server itself...Yeah i would not recommend it at this time. Toxic PVP community and a few toxic power tripping moderators really kill the mood

@DataFlo This is blueprint and the world are updated now. The blueprint is also loaded onto mod.io - https://mod.io/g/spaceengineers/m/uss-argonaut-light-cruiser-published

Changed the glowing blocks to ones from the StarTrek mod, few other tweaks. Seems to load fine, but have not tried the blueprint in SE Toolbox. Some forums said it broke in 2021.

stc continuum looks really good.. might try and stick to mods they have for future ships... once my two new ones I'm working on are done tho.

@DataFlo, thanks :) I've not loaded onto modio before, but I'll have a go this weekend. The mods have an upside with looks, but a downside as you mentioned... I may revamp and streamline the mods a bit as well and see what probs it has with the current SE.
