Growing destruction orb.

Options menu can be opened with right click and through the pause menu bar.

Allows to change which axis it grows into, which allows you to cut away a flat circle or even a line.

Right click to use altfire mode, that allows you to set the radius at which the sphere will start.

Growth speed can be changed in the options menu too.

World eater by w1nters is probably what you want. It's not a full orb but it works a lot smoother because of it.

is there a more optimized variant of the mod? it seems quite laggy in my experience, able to drop fps to 15 on its own

I have optimized the flat modes by only cutting the edge of the circle/line. This can be toggled off to create an acid pool type of effect. (But theres better mods to do that, like the Acid Pools)

The real issue comes from large objects getting seperated from the world. Like a whole building.

I speculate that because that large building is now one large object with large empty spaces the engine has to traverse a lot of nothing for like, collision checking etc which could cause lag.
