I used a track base mounted in the deck and a track connector in the turret. If you engage the track connector and swing the gun towards centerline, it grabs and locks the gun in position for both reloading and securing the turret when not in use.
Despite the turret rings being much more resistant to water intrusion, I found I needed an automatic bilge system set up in each gun pit if they extend below the waterline. They tend to flood in heavy seas and the pumps need to automatically kick on and off to keep the fore turret largely dry.
Turret is about 95% ready to go. I'm having issues with the belt junctions. If anybody comes up with a solution for a more effective way to control the junctions, I'd be very happy to know.
