~~~ Welcome to the pain train ~~~

Deathmoon is a custom game mode that has many changes to vanilla monsters and heroes to create a harder, but fair gameplay mode.

~~~ Manual Installation required ~~~

Since this mod is designed to be a new game mode, manual installation of this mod is required. Please follow the steps below to instal.

Step 1) Find this mod at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\262060\2631770386

Step 2) Double click on the DarkestDungeon folder inside the mod folder

Step 3) Find the darkest dungeon installation at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DarkestDungeon

Step 4) Copy paste the contents from step 2 (the mod folder) into the darkest dungeon folder. It should ask to overwrite an item, do so.

Step 5) go into the localization folder at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DarkestDungeon\localization

Step 6) Run localization.bat inside the localization folder

Step 7) Enjoy

For those who don't want to look at the document and want a quick rundown...

- Enemies with armor = more prot, enemies with no armor = less prot
- Tweaked Monster Types
- Corpse Mechanics
- Fights take longer but more heroes can heal well
- Tweaked AI and skills
- Some 'new' enemies
- All but the starting heroes start out with their skills unlocked
- All trinkets are limited to 3 copies or less, to help stop trinket bloat


~~~ Addons ~~~

~~~ The Nature of this type of mod ~~~

Due to being a manual installation, it's harder to uninstall if you want to uninstall this mod. Uninstalling this mod will break any save that uses it as a base. The user has to manual update this mod if updates happen. To update, use the instructions above. You can use other mods to increase or decrease the difficulty of this gamemode, but some things might break.

Any idea why the shuffle effect never seems to fall off? I see it drop from "2 rounds remaining" to "1 round", but then the debuff never drops, no how many turns pass.

I'm running only the mods in the deathmoon collection, following the instructions provided.

Should I add farmstead plus? The list you put on the mod does not include it, but include other "plus areas"

No, it is not always active. you have to specifically select deathmoon mode when starting a save to select it.

So you can have a normal save file, and then this.

Will installing this mod manually mean that it's always active? Just curious if this can be set up on one save file, but still be able to start a normal save file that doesn't use this mode after installing this mod so I can still use mods like Vermintide and class mods.

Update 6/14/2022

- Lowered stumble chance to 80% in app, to 100% in vet, and 120% in champion from 80%/110%/140%

- Lowered collector's base HP form the vanilla value of 70 / 98 / 137 to 60 / 84 / 108.

I like the idea of harder stuff untill i meet every save The Collector which wipe my brave heroes every time. Even if i kill him, his adds wreck the rest of my heroes. But still love and keep trying to push my luck. :)
