These are mods I use for a "more challenging" Bloodmoon run.

Main pieces here are monster-related mods: "Vanilla Monster Help" to provide challenge and a bit of fresh air during normal runs, various monster mods (including "Here Be Monsters") and "Cho's Boss Rework" for flavor and mild increase in difficulty. Includes more backgrounds for dungeons, "The Mountain" and "Sunward Isles". Includes a lot of classes of various strength.


If "But Nobody Came" is used, it should be put above all class mods. "Blooodmoon\Stygian Patch for Dimensional Havoc" is to be placed above its original mod - this should be available by default.




Preferred QoL options (like faster dungeons) could be included separately.

For future users here are a few notes:

1. Collection can change and I expect to add monster\class mods I think would fit in here. I don't expect to remove much from it.
   
2. I think games should have fun difficulty which is individual. Add\remove heroes of various strength to make it feel right it's too little or too much.
   
3. Part of the run's challenge is a big hero pool, which will make getting specific classes potentially harder - potentially ones player is comfortable with, forcing to adapt to bigger roster before said comfort can be regained. My textwalled opinion in the end if it's wanted.

I stream this collection (plus a few class mods which fewer people might like, thus they're excluded from this collection), and so far it has been very stable for me.





I have to admit that modded heroes on average are a bit stronger than Vanilla, but in my opinion quite a few Vanilla heroes are extremely overpowered when compared to many mods I play with. It also rewards player's learning with lots of fun toys and a bit of power, latter should still be counterweighted by challengenging enemies. Smaller class pool makes roster more controllable (= easier) and roster's rockstars more accessible.

I should also note that not every player is capable of exploiting best parts of each hero either - me included of course - so what could be considered weak or overpowered is also individual.

Punctum 3 of the above also applies for replayability: you might not be able to find certain classes until the end if you keep your roster large enough, giving reasons to play after finishing the run to toy with more classes, or restart with a new set of recruits.
