The Chimaera Experimental Destroyer was built after taking lessons from salvaged Legacy ships. It incorporates Alien design philiosphies into what is still a very human design. Low armor, brutal firepower, excellent thrust.
It is designed to wipe the floor with legacy ships while spinning and throwing artillery shells.

You have some armor to give you just enough time to run in case you really mess up an attack, but it should be easy to avoid most shots and essentially never be hit.

There are some free Hardpoints for additional turrets and room for an additional big generator. You may also want to adapt the weapon layout to your personal preferences.
Out of the Box it is set up with a lot the Turrets dedicated purely to go after fighters, while having lasers and cruise launchers at CVs to bring down shields. Once those are gone, the Artillery Cannons are there to care for the core.
Depending on your own targeting skills you may want to kill some thrusters first to ease targeting.

Update 09.10.2021:
Rather extensive rework to bring the roll speed up, as the ship sadly wasn't spinny enough in its previous state. As I needed to make room for more generators to support the additional thrusters this required a lot of changes. I also changed the weapon layout a little bit, 4 EMP Launchers are more than enough imho. The description and stat screenshot have been updated, the other screenshots are still from the previous version.

Note for 1.7: Be aware the spinny ship meta might change with Patch 1.7, which may leave this ship obsolete:
