Historical Ruler Events

I always wondered why there weren't many events that had important leaders from the late medieval and early modern era. Since Paradox doesn't seem to care all that much for historical immersion I decided to do it myself.

In this mod there are events that allow you to take certain figures as your heir, in line with the times they lived of course, and also events that give you "benefits" for achieving certain goals or for just having them reign for long enough.



Ottoman Sultan Suleyman the Magnificent/Lawgiver
- if you conquer Egypt and Budapest by the end of his reign you receive benefits

Charles V of Austria and Spain
- Personal Union between Austria and Spain if they both exist and are both ruled by the same dynasty

Sun King Louis XIV the Great of France
- Benefits if you heavily focus on increasing crownland

Gustav Vasa of Sweden
- Establishes the Vasa dynasty in Sweden

Ivan Grozny (the Terrible) of Muscovy/Russia
- It's a wacky surprise!

Henry VIII of England
- Say goodbye to your consort!

"Bloody Mary", Mary I of England
- Guaranteed alliance with Spain or another powerful catholic

Elizabeth I, Queen Bess, Virgin Queen of England
- Benefits come after rule of about 10 years

James II of Scotland and England
- Establishes the Stuart dynasty in England and a personal union on Scotland if it exists

Gustav Adolf "Gustavus Adolphus" of Sweden
- 6666 General, dies young

Jan III Sobieski of Poland-Lithuania
- 5555 General Then the Winged Hussars Arrived!

Charles X Gustav of Sweden
- Establishes the von Palatinate dynasty in Sweden

Augustus II of Poland and Saxony
- Union between Poland and Saxony

Peter the Great of Russia
- Owning certain territory (especially on the Baltic) grants you benefits

Charles XII "Carolus Rex" of Sweden
- 6666 General, dies young, owning certain territory (especially on the Baltic) grants you benefits Över Norden jag härskar!

George I Hanover of Great Britain
- Establishes the Hanover dynasty in Britain and a personal union on Hannover if it exists

Frederick the Great of Prussia
- 6666 General, owning certain territory (Silesia) grants you benefits

Catherine the Great of Russia
- Owning certain territory (Ruthenia, Crimea) grants you benefits
