The God-King

The land of Hinnom was once a fertile place, where fruits hanged enticingly from the trees and the people of the land knew only peace.
Then, by Divine decree, the Grigori, or Watchers, descended from the stellar sphere upon Mount Hermon and taught the Avvim the secrets of civilization. The Avvim prospered and grew mighty. Then Semyaza convinced Azazel, the leader of the Grigori, to fall from grace and teach the Avvim the arts of war, weapons and cosmetics.

The Grigori made a pact of sin amongst themselves and took wives among the Avvim. Their offspring were the Nephilim, giants of godlike power. When the Celestial Powers lashed out and imprisoned the Grigori in chains made of the blood and tears of those who died from their gifts of civilization, the Nephilim took to rule the Avvim in the stead of their Fathers.
The Nephilim had an unsatiable hunger and consumed all the Avvim could produce, then their beasts, then the Avvim themselves, then their sons, the Rephaim and lastly each other.
Now the time of the Nephilim is long over and they have wandered off in search of purpose, leaving their sons, the Rephaim, to rule the Avvim.

The Rephaim are cruel masters and like the Nephilim suffer from immense hunger, consuming all they can. This lead to a revolt by the Avvim against the decadence of the Rephaim, killing many Rephaite Lords, the Ba'alim. The Ba'lim gathered together in a great council and created the order of the Kohanim to lead their new faith, the Cult of the Nephilim, where the Rephaim became sons of gods and destined to rule the world.
These God-Kings deluded themselves into believing they truly are the sons of gods and that the sacrifice of blood strengthens them. Now they demand a constant stream of fresh flesh for their hideous banquets. Some cities have even been detroyed at the whime of a God-Kin. The Ba'alim have joined their brethren in delusion and also host great feasts of flesh.

Now the God-Kings look out into the rest of Elysium, preparing their conquest so they can have ever greater feasts to sate their endless appetites.

The Emim and Murmurers can summon the dead to walk once again to fight for the living, but their loyalties are suspect, for they serve the Malikum of Hades, preparing for their return to the land of the living.
