History
The Lockheed Electra 10A is an American all-metal monoplane airline developed and build by Lockheed Aircraft Corporation in 1930s as a competitor to Douglas DC2 and Boeing 247. It entered production in 1937 and gained fame especially by Amelia Earhart on her ill-fated around-the-world expedition in 1937.

A total of 149 L10s has been built since it's introduction in 1935 and they served their owners for decades to come. Nowdays there's a total of 13 surviving aircraft with only one being airworthy.

OK-CTB
The L10A production number 1091, registered as OK-CTB (N241M) is the only airworthy L10 Electra in the world. It was build in 1937 for a czechoslovak enterpretuer Jan Antonín Baťa as a replacement for his other Electra (OK-CTA) that crashed. When the clouds were closing over Europe in 1938 with the annexation of Austria and Czechoslovakia, the aircraft was flown to Poland, later when the war broke out it was evacuated to France, UK and then later to Canada where it served with the RCAF. After the war it was sold to private ownership and then it changed several owners until it was bought by Ivo Lukačovič in 2010 and underwent a renovation into it's original colours. It returned back to Prague to Točná Airfield in 2015 and it has remained here in the museum ever since. Over the course of it's 84 years of service the aircraft switched over dozen of owners across 3 continents and crashed 3 times. OK-CTB, the Baťa's plane, truly deserves to be called Legendary.



My experience
I've had the chance to see and even get into this amazing aircraft during the 2021 Tábor air show, the sleek look of the aircraft,the gorgerous sound of it's 2 radial engines, truly beautiful. Thanks to Točná Airport for bringing their Jewel to Tábor!

4) Throttle set to 0.4
5) Hold Engine starter - 1 and 2
6) Check Engine RPM 200+ - 1 and 2
7) Flaps - 1/4 for takeoff 3/4 for landing
8) Lights as required - position, strobe lights
9) Parking brake off

Pilot seat:
a/d - Aircraft roll
w/s - Aircraft pitch
left/right - Aircraft yaw
up/down - Soft brake
1 - Throttle up
2 - Throttle down
3 - PTT
