描述
This is the first map of i hope a few of them some day which are made mostly for Multiplayer battles purpose.

The first one is based on Operation Citadel and this style of scenario for mostly long distance combats. This map in particular is about 2 km long. Still unfinished but is playable.

I would like to know about performance issues due the big quantity of entities, gameplay experience, balance for both teams. So any issue from crashes to performance would be nice to be reported.

* Map is named July 1943. Tested 4v4 with bots only and worked fine. Battle zones mode only. Minimap is from a early version but at the moment is enough.

* Map is now playable 8v8 configuration.

Added new variant of July 1943 map, named July 1943 extended which is bigger

Added a winter variation of the map named NotJuly1943_winter, which is made for simulate a scenario before the first one, so no trenches and ditches.

Both of the citadel maps (N/S and E/W) cause the game to crash when played in frontlines gamemode. all other gamemodes seem to function normally.

@CrusaderLite i guess, one of the main reasons about not having vanilla big maps is the performance. I really tried to make even maps of 4x4 km, but is nearly impossible without having constant crashes, plus there is a limit if i remember well around 18k to 25k entities before start having really bad problems playing. Right now there are vanilla maps already having nearly 15k entities, and my maps are already at the limit having around 20k which is a low quantity for the size but the limit to start getting crashes. Problem is, at conquest there is a good amount of entities which taking into account the ones already in the map will cause memory problems and crashes :steamthumbsup:

Honestly just want larger maps for conquest to justify having larger battles and having to factor in Logi like fuel and such. Just scratches that itch for me

@Fox depends of your PC, specially memory, everything in this game engine requires a large quantity of memory, and the big maps require a good amount of it, that's why i had to limit them a lot for avoid crashes. I've played testing all of them 4v4 and had some crashes because of the memory, but maybe 1 or 2 times out of 10. :steamthumbsup:

@CrusaderLite tbh i didn't check about how to do it, but not sure if these are a good option for conquest taking into account the high requeriment of performance :steamthumbsup:
