About Divine Scaling 2

It’s a complete rework of how experience is distributed in Divinity: Original Sin 2. Its main purpose is to cover design needs required by Chronicles of Divinity, to balance out experience bloat that a player would receive with community created story-content. It also has two different methods of scaling enemies up to player level, depending on the player’s choice of preference. This limits the amount of work a creator needs to do when developing an addon, in terms of iterating through experience tables and combat encounters, and allows us to freely create as much extra content as we’d like, without worrying about whether or not the player is getting too much experience.

Current Features


There are two different scaling modes:

  • Classic Mode
    Enemies scale once upon discovery, but remains at that level indefinitely. This means that the player is able to outlevel monsters during that particular act.

  • Sandbox Mode
    Same as classic, but enemies will always stay at the player level.

  • Spell Randomizer
    Adds a new random spell to every enemy, making each encounter new and different. Also often more difficult.


Information

This is currently a beta, and you might find yourself getting either a little bit more or less experience than vanilla. To help me balance this, please report your findings and which level you’re at, and where you believe you should be at that particular time compared to vanilla. You can report this either on Discord or the website forums.


What is new?

Divine Scaling 2 fixes several bugs that was present in its predecessor. The original mod was created more for a general purpose to address player requests, instead of what Chronicles of Divinity required of it. The sequel is made solely with story content mods in mind. It also removes the crashing issues by reaching levels higher than 35 (Engine limitation), by removing the ability to gain experience past level 35 altogether.

How do I increase enemy level? or reset the mod? There's dialog option to increase modifier at the beginning of my save but it didnt change anything

is this mod supposed to cap max AP at 6? i have glass cannon and the gift bag enabled to increase the cap to 8 but im still stuck at 6

hi i have a problem with this it makes my talents completly disapear from my stats and i get a extra thing next to tags called extra stats dont know what that is but its blank too so yeah my talents are blank they are not there for every character i pick up red prince loshe etc cant see them or add them theres nothing in talents anymore and its defintly this mod cause i deactivate it and load my game and they are back activate it again and they are gone

are the randomized spells based on level or a pool of spells? just finished fort joy and i saw alot of repeating spells.

Hey, on Sandbox Mode, if the players level up mid-fight will all of the enemies level up too, thereby healing them? Also, on Classic Mode, will enemies that spawn mid-fight, say in important endgame boss fights (not naming names), also be properly scaled? Thanks!

Can the option of modifying experience be opened separately? I like other settings very much, but I don't like the modification experience very much.:lunar2019piginablanket:
