S.S. Sirius [DISCONTINUED]

Hello! Let me introduce my replica of "Sirius" - a passenger paddle steamer built in 1837 in Scotland. The first steamer to cross the Atlantic Ocean without the aid of sails. My first serious work also. Currently, it's work in progress, I haven't done interiors and some of functionality, but! Sails and steam engine are working, and you can test drive it.

In terms of first "big" work, I did my own 3d model of hull, trying to match the original shape as accurate as I can, and I think I've nailed it. Yeah, I had a couple of troubles with multi-part craft, until one awesome guy told me that I could make it one piece if I modify my workbench. Who would know it's possible. Great thanks to you! It really helped a lot. Wouldn't be possible to upload as craft basically, I guess.

So, with that being said, hope you'll appreciate my effort and this gorgeous ship. Got some really nice vibe from look of 1800-ish ships, hope you too.


Start-up procedure of steam engine are simple:
Go to the lower deck and find the firebox. It's placed at the rear site. Load some coal, open air valve. Press ignition button close to air valve. Wait until firebox temperature reaches 180-200. Move water valve. The more you open it, the faster engines will go. Done! Now you can stand at the helm and increace throttle by w/s axis.


Controls (helm):

W/S - throttle steam engines
A/D - stearing
Left/Right - sails position

1st hotkey - Mainsail up/fold
2st hotkey - Topsail up/fold
3st hotkey - Topgallant sail
4st hotkey - Spanker up/fold
5st hotkey - Jibs up/fold


NOTE:

Infinite electricity is needed

You have to spawn it by adding vehicle in addon editor.

You might set vehicle damage to off cuz sails a bit funky and self-exploding sometimes.

Also I recommend to turn physics to low or medium.
