Elven Phalanx (unit formation)

"On the field of battle the Spears regiments form Spear Walls. These walls of deadly spear tips that impales any brave enough to charge at it, are meant to hold lines and put up a steadfast defence for the High Elf Army."


I always envisioned the High Elves as an army of phalanx and archers, supported by dragons and cavalry. So I created it.

I gave all elven spear units an unique abillity, they can form a phalanx, which give them +10 defense, +5 attack and +5 leadership. The formation also remove the charge bonus from the units chargin against the phalanx. Units can move while in phalanx, but not run.

I recommend using my mod Longer Spears for High Elves to create a true imposing phalanx feel.

This mod should be compatible with everything, it just add a new abillity, doesnt affect stats, visuals, animation... So, should be compatible with everything.


I tested the phalanx with their spear units, but it doesn't work well with their animation, so I didn't include them in this mod. In order to give them the phalanx, I would have to edit their animation, creating incompatibilities. In the future, I could create a mod that includes them, if people ask for it.
