Mission Codename: Deadly Play

Briefing:
Civilians were told that insurgents' appearance is completely fine. The owner of the local theatre disappeared, everything here doesn't make sense. It is known that a play will start at 8 pm as planned. Wait... oh crap... this is not a play they expect to see! You must not make any mistakes here. I want to see all people healthy and alive! We have a lot of stingers and silencers, perhaps its a great moment to use them finally?

Objective: Hostage Rescue
Difficulty: Hard
Operators: 6
Size: 60x40
Possible Reinforcements: Yes
Presence of Civilians: High

Challenges:
  • No Pause
  • Lone Wolf
  • Single Plan

Amazing map, though I did use the Tier One Mod to get special forces with an undercover to nail the executioners / bomb on stage. Seemed a good use though!

aaaand like 99% of the time the extra spawns completely ruined a perfectly good map and run. it's just not fun having your team perfectly stacked with and rear security set up properly just to have them wiped because 6 enemies spawn out of nowhere right behind them, 3 from opposite sides... I'll never understand why map makers insist on including this mechanic. there's really only a handful of maps I've seen where it was done well and actually improved the map.

FINALLY managed 3 stars. I disarmed the bomb/executioner, cleaned up the map and blasted the sh*t out of the final hostage takers in the corner. 11 minutes and change. Favourite workshop map!
