描述

SS Roe was a baggage tender built for the River Line in 1884, and was the smallest vessel the company owned. In 1892, she collided with her dock and received minor damage to her port lifeboat. In 1902, she was sold to a Lighterage company, where she was to serve for 9 more years. In 1913, the worn out boiler and engine were removed, and the steam barge was just a dumb barge. After a long career, the Roe was beached at Runcorn and scrapped after a life of 37 years.
