KX95-II Traveller | Seaplane | STOL

UPDATE: In preparation for the upcoming Weapons DLC I expanded the plane with a front side compartment and added various improvements, for example an automatic door ramp instead of ladders.
Once DLC is out, I will probably upload a DLC version, while this on will be the non-DLC one.

This amphibious aircraft is a modernized version of the KX-95 Cormorant . It's currently a work in progress, although mostly finished. So I would be glad to hear some feedback.

The plane is designed for all kinds of SAR missions, exploration, transporting smaller cargo and even firefighting. It is easy to use, yet full of functionality.


Quickguide

To start just turn the "Engine"-Key on the righthand panel and release brakes in Headpanel.

Around 60% Throttle is needed to keep you in the air. For starting use 100%.

Turn on Monitors with "Avionic Screens"-switch on the left panel.

Turning on Generator is optional, the main engines produce a bit Swatts aswell.

Starting in water requires STOL Mode, Full Throttle, Max Pitch Up. Best to face the wind when starting and if the nose still digs in, you can open the Dive/Ballast Chamber Hatch to make her rear-heavy. You need to do so if remaining fuel is below a certain threshold aswell.

In water you can use HydroProps for short distance or to orient yourself. They need to be activated by a button on the right panel and control with up/down/left/right.

The water cannon only works while in water.



The whole plane is a streamlined version of krail's KX-95 Cormorant which is an outstanding plane, but fairly dated. I added tons of new features, but krail is the father of this plane. Sadly I couldn't reach him to ask for permission, so I hope he doesn't mind. I will of course take it down or add him as creator, should he wish to.

I also used a lot of stuff from krimwand , e.g. his whole generator and fuel consumption set up. If you don't know his stuff yet, I highly recommend to check his workshop page. My favourite creator on here.
