This mod is not compatible with Pickup+! Please do use Unlock Plus (with Pickup) instead.

MultiChar

This mod allows you to have multiple characters on one server.
Inventories, Guild, Data etc. are entirely seperated.
This Mod was designed to be used on Dedicated Servers, but it now also works in SinglePlayer as a convenient way to manage your characters.
Your current characters will not be lost and are still supported (at least they should be, this has NOT been tested yet).
MultiChar allows the players of a server to twink without the requirement of a second steam account or even having family share enabled (sorry hackers and ban evaders).

Features

- Have multiple characters on the same server/in SP/Co-op
- Switch your character anytime ingame (see hotkeys/commands)
- Admin setting for max chars/player

Hotkeys & Commands

Command "DataCmd SwitchChar" & Hoktey Ctrl+Shift+S: Switch your character from ingame
Command "DataCmd MultiCharAdmin" & Hotkey Ctrl+Shift+L: Open the MultiChar Admin menu to set the limit of chars/player.

this mod has been dead for a long time. there's an updated version on a different mod page. the new mod dev can't take the old page down. here's a link to the new one.

@sabel Technically, all character data exists within the world save. How the mod works is basically it creates a new character assigned to your player ID on the server, but where normally the save would flag your old character as permadead and inaccessible, the mod allows you to have multiple living characters on the same server. If you attempt to reproduce this without the mod, it will technically work, but it will rotate through your characters per login with no character selection. That said, if you wanted to manually edit character data and you have access to the save file via single player or running your own server, you can use a database editor such as SQLite to view and edit the character data in the file.
