描述
At the request of former curator AsterixChaos, This is a reupload of Multichar to keep the mod alive, and hopefully develop improvements. You will need to unload or delete the original MultiChar.pak file associated with the old version of this mod - Wafflebuttersoft

This mod is not compatible with Pickup+! Please do use Unlock Plus (with Pickup) instead.

MultiChar
This mod allows you to have multiple characters on one server.
Inventories, Guild, Data etc. are entirely seperated.
This Mod was designed to be used on Dedicated Servers, but it now also works in SinglePlayer as a convenient way to manage your characters.
Your current characters will not be lost and are still supported (at least they should be, this has NOT been tested yet).
MultiChar allows the players of a server to twink without the requirement of a second steam account or even having family share enabled (sorry hackers and ban evaders).

Features
- Have multiple characters on the same server/in SP/Co-op
- Switch your character anytime ingame (see hotkeys/commands)
- Admin setting for max chars/player

Hotkeys & Commands
Command "DataCmd SwitchChar" & Hoktey Ctrl+Shift+S: Switch your character from ingame
Command "DataCmd MultiCharAdmin" & Hotkey Ctrl+Shift+L: Open the MultiChar Admin menu to set the limit of chars/player.

I never used the ingame swap because it doesn't keep the other character bodies in the world. I log out every time. But I tested the feature yesterday and it worked. I love this mod. Couldn't play the game without it. I orignally used Mikey's Toolbox back in the day. I would be nice to be able to use the thrall/animal selling feature in SP eventually. But it doesn't really matter.

You can set yourself as server admin in single player from the server menu. As server admin, you can turn it off with ctrl+shift+L.

I'll probably adjust the defaults in a hotfix patch so that it's less jarring.

Noticed switching chars ingame isn't poossible any longer on single server due to "switching being blocked by server owner" (CTRL+SHIFT+S), so you need to log out and back in in order to switch. Any ideas how to get it back working?

Hi, I'd like to inform about the issue that this mod conflicts with the feature of selling thralls which was implemented into the game with the december 2025 update of conan exiles. Issue: Place a selling cage and put a following thrall into it. Type any price >1 gold and press enter. Normally the name of the thrall and the price is written on the sign and it's possible for other players to buy that thrall. But this doesn't happen. I use 65 mods. When this mod is not active everything is fine and works as intended. Would be very grateful if you (mod author) could have an eye on it. Thanks a lot in advance.

Started using it today, 2 Chars no issues on single server.

Is it just me, but game keep getting fatal crash with having 3 characters, even living far apart.

Edit: I am testing this, it seems the cause of fatal errors might be playing game trhough "launch" button, checking if "continue" one is the way to go.
