1/5 Scale RC USS Essex

USS Essex (CV-9) was commissioned in 1942, served in WW2 and the Korean war, was decomissioned in 1969, and scrapped in 1975. She was the lead ship of her class. This replica is built at a 1:5 scale. It reaches a speed of 25 Knots, and the recommended cruising speed for any of my/exploderize's 1:5 combat vessels is 21 knots, as they are all designed to go at least that speed. I have fitted a catapult system for miniature planes. It doesn't work very well, but its there. The ship also has a single working aircraft lift and an aircraft hangar. The hangar isn't very detailed to cut down on lag.

This ship is capable of being remote controlled, but due to its size, I fitted it with an on board bridge aswell, which is located under a hatch on deck, or through the door in the hangar.

2- Horn
3- Reverse
W/S- Throttle (Sticky)
A/D- Steering
Up/Down- Turret Pitch
Left/Right- Turret Yaw
