Manage Calgary's growing transit network with a combination of light rail and bus lines.

Since entering service in 1981, the CTrain has grown alongside the city of Calgary and has become an integral part of the city's daily commute. With an average ridership of over 300,000 passengers per day, it's the busiest light rail service in Canada, surpassed only by the rapid transit lines of Toronto, Montréal, and Vancouver.

The CTrain currently operates 2 lines serving 45 stations: the Red Line running from south to northwest and the Blue Line running from west to northeast, both lines overlapping in Calgary's busy downtown core. A planned Green Line running from north to southeast is slated for construction in the coming decade.

In addition to light rail, the city also operates a series of bus rapid transit lines, both as a means to extend rapid transit service to more areas of the city, and to explore potential routes for future light rail expansion. Calgary's BRT has seen multiple iterations over the years and currently operates the MAX network, which opened its first three lines (MAX Orange, MAX Teal, and MAX Purple) in 2018 and a fourth line (MAX Yellow) the following year.

Features
- Starting in downtown Calgary, cross the Bow and Elbow Rivers and extend your transit system outward in all directions.
- Balance rail and road: your starting three lines are LRT routes, while each additional line is a BRT route. (For the inverse, try Ottawa.)
- Decide between additional locomotives and buses each week. Locomotives can only run on LRT lines, while buses can only run on BRT lines. Buses are smaller and can't use carriages, but are more frequent.
