VIA Rail Budd Skyline Mid-Train Dome

Originally built in the 1950s for Canadian Pacific, these stainless steel cars continue to operate today on Canada's Passenger Rail Network under VIA Rail on long-distance and rural routes. VIA's Skyline Domes provide a lounge for economy and sleeper class passengers. One end of the car contains dining and activity tables, while the other contains a lounge with large couches. The highlight of the car is the upper-level Dome, which provides panoramic views in all directions over top of the train. On the lower level, a small bar and kitchen provides economy class food and drink, or can be used to prepare snacks or tasting activities.
