1959 GM TDH-4523 "Fishbowl" Transit Bus (StormLink Compatible)

描述
This is a 1959 GM "New Look", aka "Fishbowl", transit bus. No modded parts in this one. Has a functional inline 6-cylinder modular engine - not like the one the real thing used, which was a diesel V6, but it works. Also compatible with the StormLink passenger transport mod.

Uses some of the windows from a similar bus with an autonomous control system, created by End Of The Line. (EDIT 3/24/2021: Also now uses the route/destination sign system from that creation.) Making changes and re-uploading is allowed, but ONLY if you include a link to this vehicle in your description, and ONLY if the changes you make are reasonably substantial - for example, simply putting a new paint job on this vehicle is NOT something I'd be OK with, unless you message me and ask me whether it'd be OK to upload. An example of a change I'd automatically be OK with would be the installation of a different type of engine.

I had a feeling that was your high-beams that were missing!

You've also got it right for the unit on the roof - that's the AC. It was an option from GM installed on buses in warmer climates.

My brain must not have processed part of that comment properly about the missing part before, so I'll address it now... I created, via XML editing, a slightly more powerful version of the "in-block" small spotlight for use as a proper high-beam headlight on this type of vehicle. Thanks for letting me know it isn't working; I'll put in a regular spotlight for now.

@End of the Line: Thanks for checking it out! I'll try to make it Stormlink-compatible in a bit; changelog will show it when I do.

Curiosity question: what purpose would the unit on the rear roof serve in the real thing? I'm guessing air-conditioning, but I'm not sure because I've never seen anything like it in any pictures.

Thanks for providing proper credit for the windows! I'm impressed with the modular engine and exterior light details, really captures the feel of these vehicles. I think the inner headlights may still be a missing modded part - there's just an empty space on my unmodded system. If you make this compatible with Stormlink, I'd be happy to include this as part of the Stormlink fleet collection!
