The Dornier 228 is a twin-engine general purpose aircraft, capable of transporting up passengers or various cargoes. It is powered by a pair of Garrett TPE331 turboprop engines. The Dornier 228 is commonly classified as a Short Takeoff and Landing (STOL)-capable aircraft, being capable of operating from rough runways and in hot climates. This capability has been largely attributed to the type's supercritical wing which generates large amounts of lift at slow speeds.[8][16] The Dornier 228 is typically promoted for its versatility, low operational costs, and a high level of reliability.



Start Up
  1. Turn on battery
  2. Turn on fuel pumps
  3. Turn on Nav & Beacon Light
  4. Start engine
Engine Start up complete

Take Off
  1. Turn on Landing lights & taxi light
  2. Min take off speed Speed 90 Knots
  3. Press TO/GA button
Take off complete

Landing
  1. Turn on Landing lights & taxi light
  2. Landing Speed 100-110 Knots
