M/S old Alf

This boat is based on pure imagination and nothing else. That is, it has not existed in reality and its history is only fantasy.


M/S Alf was built in Eriksbergsvarvet (Eriksberg's boatyard) in Gothenburg and was launched in 1915.

Alf was then a tugboat owned by the Swedish Coast Guard.

Alf was a loyal friend who helped tow shipwrecks and large cargo ships.

Alf went into service for about 30 years, of which it was later decided to stop the boat as its steam engine was worn out and old.

The boat was abandoned and forgotten for many years until 1987, of which 3 companies decided to merge and save old Alf.

The boat underwent a major renovation, of which the old steam engine was also replaced with a Volvo Penta diesel.

Alf is used not only as a tugboat but also coast guard if needed and it has also got a large powerful water cannon in the bow that can extinguish serious fires.

Thanks to modern technology, Alf has got autopilot, bow thrusters in both the bow and stern and a sonar system and that the boat now has a top speed of 17 knots.

What more could one ask for from such a beauty?


-INSTRUCTIONS-

The instructions are pretty simple.
Just jump into steering-bridge and turn the kay that says: Engine on/off.

To get the ship in gear you must use the lever: Direction gear. The gear will get active when the lever are over 0.25 or under -0.25. this will make it easier to put the gear in neutral and same is with the bowthrusters.
you can accelerate with the W/S keys if you want.
