Actually Useful Artillery

描述
Artillery in S2 is either entirely useless or extremely overpowered with no inbetween. Either you have Parrot Guns/Armstrong Guns that win you battles on their own or you have everything else that does nothing. This mod seeks to change that.

Firebombs-
Removed "Spin" effect for better accuracy, gave a modest range increase, as well as removed the accuracy penalty.

Mangonels-
Removed the "spin" effect from the stat table as well as the accuracy penalty.

Euro Cannons-
Since roundshot is unfixable, they now fire Grapeshot.

Hand Mortars-
Their projectiles now detonate on impact, dramatically increasing their effectiveness.

Wooden Cannons-
Now use "Naval Firebombs" which produce a larger explosion than standard firebombs, making them actually capable of scoring kills.

FOTS Towers-
For some reason towers/walls used roundshot, which as we've established is utterly useless. Towers and Walls now use forms of grapeshot similar to that of Euro Cannons.

Gatling Guns-
Gatling Guns now have extended range and a Suppression Fire effect, the range of Gatling Towers has also been increased.

Strange ask, but could you make the changes of each unit into their own respective separate mods? The change to Wooden cannons sound nice

Why decrease Euro Cannons/Hojo Cannons's range form 500 to 400?
Please increase Mangonels/ Hojo Mangonels and Euro Cannons range to 600

Vorp- Don't put your infantry in front of your cannons. It wasn't done historically for that very reason. Unless you have them on an elevated position you should never fire over the head of your own troops (And don't fire when they get into melee with your guys).

That said the damage of the projectile was unchanged and the spread really isn't that much so in all honesty you should be having better luck against walls due to having a lot more rounds going downrange. The only change I made to the cannons was upping the projectile count.

I tested it a little. 'Fix' to european cannons makes them weaker: while Grapeshot pretty much always hits target, a big portion of Grapeshot misses walls, which results into walls getting destroyed A LOT slower than it originally was.Perhaps it is better at killing infantry in the open field, but it is also now much better at hitting my own infantry as well with Grapeshot. And with much worse perfomance in sieges I would say that changes to European cannons are bad

Yea I mean they're not really blowing *themselves* up, but they do hit like 9/10 shots to the roof of the wall they're stationed on.

MrTechMomnkey- Is that something that happens consistently? Seems rather odd that they'd be doing that purely because I removed something that artificially created spread. That said though FB lads were really good at blowing themselves up without any mods so it is hard telling.

I don't man, the only thing I changed was adding this mod and now my hojo firebomb throws hit the roof of the walls their stationed on 90% of the time. I haven't tried it for any other clans so maybe it's something about the Hojo bomb boys.
