描述
Greetings and thank you for checking out this map!

MAP INFO:
  • Terrain consists of mostly rivers, lakes, hills, and mountains, with some flatter areas in the mid south of the map.
  • All resources are present and accounted for, though forest is by far the most abundant, and oil is the least abundant. Ore deposits are only located on the tops of the mountains.
  • All transport connections are available, though some maybe harder to use than others.
  • Wind power isn't very powerful in the starting area, but it can be done.

Note about hydroelectric power:
In my opinion, hydroelectric power isn't super viable given how the map had to be shrunk vertically during the creation process. There is a potentially viable dam location up against the edge of playable 5x5 zone on the side of the map opposite the starting area. This inclusion was largely an afterthought on my part as I don't use dams in most of my cities, and might not be as viable as I think it might be as a result. There are water sources in the lakes that the rivers are flowing from, but only enough to create the rivers, making the rivers rather slow moving as a result. This was an intentional decision on my part, the reasons for which will be explained in the background section below along with why the map was shrunk vertically.

BACKGROUND INFO:
This map was largely made because I wanted to test importing height maps into the editor. It was also partially made so that I could test out how the game performs with a large city with my new (to me) CPU, as all my old save games seem to have disappeared. The height map for the majority of this map is derived from the terrain mesh of an animation project of mine I am working on that has nothing to do with Cities: Skylines. Because of the constraints of Cities: Skylines, this map is squashed vertically compared to the terrain mesh it was made from by a factor of two by my best estimation. Another difference between the original terrain and this map is that this map is not at the same horizontal scale as the terrain it is derived from. This is because the area the original terrain covers is roughly 32 sq km (4km x 8km), so I decided to use the northern 4km x 4km area to make this map.

The project the terrain for this map was derived from is set in the Starbound universe, and is the area of the surface of the planet the main character of my project started the game on, with this map inheriting the planet's name. Because this is a starting planet, I opted to make the rivers be mostly calm, hence why the water flows so slowly in the map. The terrain mesh was made in Blender by myself, and I extended the terrain in Cities: Skylines after it was imported.

If you want more info on the project this map is from, please visit the Deviant Art post I made for some general info on the project, link here[www.deviantart.com]. My Twitter art profile is also linked on the side in case you want to take a look at that.

RECOMMENDED WORKSHOP ITEMS:
Clear and Bright I like this color correction mod made by Scotland Tom, but you can do without it if you don't want it.

All 25 Areas Purchasable Unlike the previous mod, I highly recommend that you use this mod when playing this map, as otherwise a lot of the land area, ore deposits, and the potential dam location will not all be usable in the same city. This map was made with this mod in mind and under the assumption that it would be used, hence why I am recommending the use of this mod.

TM:PE V11 Stable I also recommend Traffic Manager, largely due to how limiting the hilly and mountainous terrain is on good traffic management options.
