Yes, lasers and plasma may be fashionable.But I'd rather take Eugene Stoner's masterpiece....

Add ballistic weapons as an equivalent alternative to laser/plasma/MAG.
- All guns are fully unlocked from the start. No research or manufacturing is required. If you have concerns about game balance, you can make lasers etc. and then give those guns to your soldiers. Your conscience is more useful than the code I write for restrictions.
- To make identification easier, the guns were given unique icons and "N" numbers. For example, a Tier 1 ballistic rifle is an N16 rifle and a Tier 2 (equivalent to a laser) ballistic rifle is an N16A1. Note that the "N" number does not relate to the real-life "M" number.
Also, the icon does not represent the performance of the gun. For example, the icon for the N16A1 rifle has a 30-round magazine, but it is the equivalent of a laser rifle, so it actually has a lower capacity than the N16 rifle.
- I have not considered compatibility with other mods.

I have reworked this mod. I will leave this mod unchanged for save data compatibility, etc., but please do not activate these two at the same time.

for some reason the mod doesnt show up in the mod menu in the launcher any idea why

@raneko I didn't provide a specific reason for the upgrade of these guns (I'm lazy). I think your idea is a reasonable one to answer.

@Staojo After a little drama on my end. (probably my fault.) it worked wonderfully no more marching up and down a wheat field in line abreast looking for your keys.

Another Question. What do you think about my explanation about using alien materials to up grade conventional weapons?

I just found a problem with this wonderful mod. There is no sprites for dropped guns on the map when a soldier panics and runs away.

heh... this would make a nice stop gap. Until your economy and manufacturing take off. tier 2 unlocked after an encounter with Androns, A short blurb "we're increasing the cailbur of our weapons to over match a Andron's armor." Another jump to Tier 3 after studying alien materials with another blurb. "Augmenting conventional firearms manufacturing with alien based matierials have allowed chemical powered firearms to stay within shouting range of energy weapons we are reaching the point of diminishing returns. The increase in ammunition size and stopping power necessary to take down stronger aliens. Recoil and Ammunition count are becoming concerns. What good is assault rifle if the recoil knocks our soldiers end over end everytime the trigger is pulled. Or what good is a weapon when you can only carry a half dozen rounds, when your outnumbered twenty to one."
