Hi yeah the switching works by throwing your fspecial through the nspecial totem. This means you can double dip on people by getting them both to match (e.g hitting a double heal for 12% healing). The mechanics were more interesting, but very obtuse and clunkily put together. Perfect example of this- you had to ask what they did!
When I'm designing characters, I want to make mechanics intuitive and avoid things that can't be explained with a few lines of text in the info boxes.
New valk is the same weight as old valk, they're just more survivable and maneuverable due to their smaller size. They look a lot better, their moves flow together in a more comfortable way, and the mechanics were distilled down to their core components. I think that the new valkyrie is a great indicator of how much I improved as a creator between 2019 and 2020.

How does the switching skull to + mechanic work, are their different advantages to tracking an oponent as apposed to making both match ? Also I think I genuinley like this version more personally, lighter, faster and an interesting Strategey of which state you want the totem to be in with a far better recovery, the other Valkarie may be easier to hit smash attacks with and tankier but this one is pretty great in my personal opinion, I wish more realtors also made a hybrid third version which combines the movesets of both prior, I thought the same thing about the Rock bat also and ended up liking the old one more for its diversity and combo chaining
