SH-3 Seasparrow

The SH-3 Seasparrow is a twin-engine multipurpose naval helicopter. Equipped with the latest technology it is capable of performing a large variety of tasks. The APG-3B radar is capable of detecting air and surface targets at great ranges. For rescue missions the SH-3 is equipped with a winch. A double slingload hook enables the helicopter to carry out resupply missions.

To start:
-Turn on the master and avionics master switches
-Turn on the engine fuel supply
-Set RPM to idle
-Press start button
-Turn on generator bus
-Set RPM to flight idle
-Take-off

MAD operation
-The MAD detects objects such as ships and submarines. A strong downward spike indicates an object between the seabed and the sensor.


Use Remote Control
-Equip the RC (located behind the pilot)
-Switch to channel 4
-Press 6 to enable RC control
-Disable RC by flipping the switch next to the RC controller (prevents unwanted takeover of control)
-Use button 1 and 2 to control the winch
