Description
Automatic or manual 6-gear combinative transmission with extra reverse and low gear, requiring 4 gearbox blocks.
  • Overall gear ratios are:

    0.14
    0.26
    0.44
    0.62
    0.8
    1.11

  • In manual mode gears are shifting sequentially. In automatic mode gear shifting is tuned only by a single engine RPS threshold.
  • When Manual type is selected, the numeric output node indicates the current gear. When Auto type is selected, transmission is in Drive mode by default and the numeric output node indicates current mode:

    2 Low gear
    1 Drive
    0 Parking
    -1 Reverse

  • In order to limit the top speed you can cut the top gear down to 5-th in microcontroller properties.
  • The 0-gear is just a placeholder between reverse and 1-gear or Drive mode, so you need a clutch to emulate the Neutral gear in your setup.
  • You can prevent automatic downshifting with a corresponding node if the engine is under heavy load.

Assembly
  • Set the gear shifting buttons to the PUSH mode.
  • Transmission requires 4 gearboxes and torque meter, which should be assembled in the following order:

  • To adjust the top speed, insert an extra gearbox with any gear ratio between torque meter and wheels.

How do you make it so your gear # show on a dial or seven segment?

The gear start changing too early wich causes the wheels to slip.

Check if all gear ratios are correct, and make sure the engine has enough power for higher gears.

I believe i have everything connected correctly, but i am facing a problem where it runs fine in neutral, first, second (where it reaches 29mph top speed) and then the engine immediately stalls and cannot run with gears 3 4 or 5. Any idea on what could be causing that?

Insert an extra gearbox between the torque meter and wheels, and adjust its gear ratio.

How would i adjust the ratio to get 29mph top speed, or any certain speed? It seems a bit dumb to randomly change ratios until a speed is reached (which i have not yet achieved)

Yes, you can use all items from the workshop by default, unless the author explicitly prohibits it.

ive been trying to make a gtr skyline but only revers and one gear work also if you run the clutch trrough a elec motor u go faster

I've been tryna make an MC that allows this MC to be controlled by a throttle lever

I kinda have it but it's funky and really weird
