SS Eureka steam ferry

The Eureka is a side wheel steam ferry, which is now preserved at the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park.

Originally named Ukiah, she was originally intended to be a railroad ferry, later when cars became popular, she was converted to be a standard passenger ferry. She is currently the largest wooden ship in existance. She could carry up to 2300 passengers.

She was put out of action in 1957, when she snapped an engine crank pin while serving the SP's cross country trains in Oakland.

This ship comes with several unique features, including a custom wake effect, a steam engine sound, whistle, and steam smoke, as well as animated paddlewheels.
