When I was in Stockholm for PDXCon 2018, I saw this big beautiful tree with large white flowers while walking in a park. I had no idea what it was but always wanted to make it. Recently I discovered it's a Horse Chestnut tree. Then I got right to making this 4 piece set for the game. Here you have 2 summer versions (Large and Medium), a flowering Spring version and a young pruned one.

The Horse Chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum) tree is also known as "Conker Tree". It is a large deciduous tree native to South East Europe. It can be found in many parts of Europe and temperate places around the world planted on streets and in parks. It's actually a distant relative of Chestnuts belonging to the Soapberry and Lychee family.

I'm giving a big shout out to AmipolizeFunk for taking time to capture and send me images of Horse Chestnut trees in his neigborhood in Berlin twice with different cameras :). They were very intrumental in forming the model of this tree. Also I want to give a big shout to PDelmo for his input along this journey.
