Introducing the MK1 Carrier Based VTOL fighter jet

This is a lightweight, analogue (Gen 3) single seat, single-engine fighter jet.

Originally developed for the Submarine Aircraft Carrier Program as a test aircraft, the platform was regarded as an interim solution while a more capable twin-engine 4th Generation fighter was in the design phase..

The aircraft however proved itself an effective and reliable VTOL fighter/bomber platform that is cheaper than most helicopters. Performing grunt work for many years alongside more advanced 4+ generation models.

Although now only used as a training aircraft for TR-34 pilots, export models continue to serve as front-line fighters worldwide. The design concept led to influence all future models in the TR series.

Max Range: 140km

Operating procedure:


Fuel Pump > Max Throttle > Ignition

You are now in VTOL mode,

Press 1/2 to control jet thrust, apply forward trim for level flight

The controls are HOTAS layout (easy to change in editor if you don't like, it's just pilot seat to gyro)

W/S = Collective

A/D = Roll

Arrows = Pitch / Yaw

To put inside the carrier hangar: fold the wings & the rotor blade.
