Miles “Tails” Prower joins the battle in Rivals of Aether! On his journey to Aether, he brings with him his inventions and ability to fly!

OVERVIEW

Tails is a character who excels in the air with his multiple jumps and control. His combo game is deadly in the air. He’s fairly light, though.

SPECIAL ATTACKS

NEUTRAL SPECIAL: ENERGY BALL

Fire off a ball of electricity. If it lands, it’ll briefly stun the opponent. Useful as a combo starter, despite its high startup. If used in the air, Tails will fire the energy ball at a downward angle. It’ll bounce off the ground.

FORWARD SPECIAL: AIRLIFT

Tails leaps forward, attempting to grab someone. If he grabs someone, he’ll hold on tight and fly upward, then kick them up. You can move left or right when holding someone. A great way to start and extend combos. If you miss offstage, you can’t act out of it unless you’re next to a wall, so watch out!

UP SPECIAL: FLIGHT

Tails’ signature ability! Using this move causes Tails to take to the sky. Pressing Special will have Tails rise into the air. You cancel this move with any aerial, and you can use it again! However, Tails can’t fly for long. If he flies for too long, he’ll become tired and is forced to land. You’ll be hard punished if you land while in freefall, so don’t let that happen!

DOWN SPECIAL: SPIN DASH

Tails puts his own spin on Sonic’s ability. Tails’ version doesn’t go as fast, but Tails will perform a rising attack when you jump with it. Useful as a way of getting around!
