Tech Circle

This is a customizable effect asset that displays one or multiple rotating ring-segments. To use this asset, create a Composition- / Fullscreen- / Image-Layer (preferably a square), add the effect and modify it to your liking. The effect is stackable and works well with my other two assets Tech Barcode and Tech Gear.

Customizable properties:
- Color & Alpha Value
- Rotation speed
- Ring Radius & Thickness
- Ring Segment Count & Segment Thickness (*)
- Sector Width & Angular Offset
- Sector Segment Count & Segment Thickness (*)
- Skew
- Coordinate System (**)
- Ratio Correction (***)

(*) This allows to display multiple Tech Circle Segments in regular intervals. Choose a segmentation mode with the Ring / Sector Segments drop-down-lists to activate this feature.

(**) This changes the underlying coordinate system to a cartesian one. Instead of spinning rings, the shader now generates rectangles that move vertically and loop at the edge of the screen.

(***) This can cause alignment issues when changing the resolution of the layer after the effect is adjusted. I reccomend using square layers to avoid having to use this option altogether.


To show off what kind of effects can be achieved with this asset, I created a Cowboy Bebop themed wallpaper and the wallpaper Tech Circles, with a more futuristic style.
