描述
Stellaris Revived: Terrforming
This mod aims to improve terraforming experience in Stellaris by adding step-by-step terraforming with megastructures and unique buildings.
Please use Github page[github.com] to submit any ideas

Feel free to open any issues both in English and Russian.

Content
This makes following changes to gameplay:
Terraforming
  • Megastructures:
    • Terraforming Station Platform. A platform for a future terraforming station
    • Base terraforming station. Turns the planet into nascent world
    • Climate specific terraforming station (Dry, Wet & Cold). Turns the planet into dry, wet or cold world. It is allowed to switch terraforming station focus simply by upgrading a megastructure. Requires ecological adaptation tech
    • Planet class specific terraforming station (arid, continental, arctic, etc.). Turns the planet into one of vanilla planet class. It is allowed to switch terraforming station focus simply by upgrading a megastructure. Requires climate restoration tech
    • Gaia terraforming station. Allows to turn the planet into gaia world. Requires 'World Shaper' ascension perk, could only be build on top of planet class specific terraforming station. Requires climate restoration tech
    • Machine & Hive terraforming stations. Vey similar to Gaia terraforming station. Requires corresponding ascension perk and allows to terraform the planet into machine or hive world.
    • Core Igniter. Requires ascension perk 'Star Shaper' and technology 'Core Igniter'. Allows to turn the gas giant into the star which will make some of it's moons gaia worlds.
    • Gas Giant Terraforming station. Requires ascension perk 'Star Shaper' and technology 'Gas Giant Terraforming'. Allows to build terraforming station on gas giant's orbit to turn it into nascent world.
  • New planet classes
    • Nascent World. A lot of blockers, more suitable for resource extraction. First step in making planet habitable
    • Dry World. An intermediate stage on the way to arid, desert or savanna planet classes
    • Wet World. An intermediate stage on the way to continental, ocean or tropical planet classes
    • Cold World. An intermediate stage on the way to alpine, arctic or tundra planet classes


How To Use
  • Step 1. Build terraforming station platform on the planet's orbit. Tech terrestrial sculpting is required.
  • Step 2. Upgrade terraforming station planet to a full terraforming station.
  • Step 3. You now can choose a desired climate by upgrading the terraforming station into dry, wet or cold station type.
  • Step 4. You now can choose a desired planet class by upgrading the terraforming station into arid, continental, arctic, etc. station type.
  • Step 5 (Optional). It is also possible to upgrade station to gaia type if you have required ascension perk.

    • Not savegame compatible (Planet type chances upon terraforming completion might be broken)
  • 1.1.0
    • Terraforming stage 2 implemented. Now it is possible to build extra terraforming buildings which allow to turn the planet into dry, wet or cold world. Those new world types are intermediate stage for a vanilla planet classes
    • Switched terraforming blockers from deposits to planet modificators
    • New planet types. Wet, Dry & Cold worlds
    • New stage 1 buildings and planet modificators
    • New deposits for nascent world
    • Make nascent world more usable by allowing to extract rare resources & build scientific district there
    • Update to support 2.7.1 version
    • Not savegame compatible. For existing terraforming facilities there is no way to update planet modifiers. I suggest to remove existing facilities by selecting it and then using command "event utopia.3324" in console
  • 1.0.0 Terraforming
    • New terraforming approach via new megastructure which allows to turn barren planet into minimal habitable

Please update your mods, the launcher swears a lot and the game crashes when I load your mods. Please, can you fix your mod, the mod does not want to work correctly in the new version 3.2

The super mod is very useful when there are not enough ordinary planets or there are no suitable planets in the star system. And you can teraform unusable planets into the needed ones. Please, is it possible to fix your mod, the mod does not want to work correctly in the new version 3.2

Пара компьютерных империй стартовала с родным миром "Влажный".
Лет через 100 после начала игры они так и остались сидеть на одной планете, хотя на карте рядом с их родными мирами сгенерировало по паре важных планет.

Вот такие домоседы получились в эру межзвездных путешествий.

@Lemm if you want to reproduce the bug, you simply need to build a terraforming station over an uninhabitable world (I used a molten world), then upgrade one time so the planet becomes a nascent world. After that, upgrade the station once again into one of the three options (wet, dry or cold) and the bug will present itself.

@Lemm I just tried using your mod with all of my other mods turned off but the first bug I reported still exist (modifying the planet to the next stage [wet, dry or frozen] only partially works). If it makes any difference, I was using the instant_build console command (though I don't believe this is the issue as this was still happening when I was waiting out the duration normally back when I was testing this using all of my mods). Is it possible to have the terraforming station use a different energy upkeep when building on an already inhabitable planet? It seems very strange to build a terraforming station on a normal planet (jungle planet for example) and immediately the station needs -60 energy to operate before you have begun terraforming it.

@Lemm If you aren't able to reproduce the bug then it is probably some mods I use causing the issue I will correct it on my end. Sorry for the confusion. As for the terraforming station being permanent, I think it is the right decision. I understand the decision both in terms of game balance and the logic of the planet reverting back to its original state if the station were to no longer exist. The energy upkeep values seem good as well (compared to other expensive megastructures like the matter decompressor, science nexus and sentry array, the values are very similar to the original game balance).

@lolic_lol, не обкалываюсь сильно модами, увы, особенно на разнообразие планет и т.д. Код открытый, в принципе написать патч совместимости будет несложно, мб и сам доберусь когда-нибудь, но пока приоритеты с ванилью разобраться

@Bronson, I've decided that it's quite obvious that once the planet is terraformed station should be on it's place to make sure the planet won't get back to it's origins. Perhaps maintenance cost is too big, this is yet to be defined, regarding a nascent - cold\dry\wet bug you found, I'll try to replicate, no luck for now. If you can share a savefile that would be really great. As for a common terraforming button and a way to terraform to the gaia world - I'm going to remove terraforming button at all once I'm sure all the cases are covered. For now, I'm working on providing a possibility to terraform to hive & machine worlds, release is going to be out late this week or early next week
