The Centipede House

This is a residential building based on a real life one built in the 80s on Begovaya Street in Moscow. It has been nicknamed Centipede because of the 40 leg shaped high pillars the structure stands on. It is also known as The House On Legs and The House of the Aviators (ask Google about that one!)

In this mod you will find 2 versions of the building (Edit: Housing Quality 0.97):
- A replica of the original building adapted for the game that houses 720 workers.
- A single smaller (fictional) version that fits in more limited spaces providing housing for 210 workers.

Also, the construcion process has been scripted using the advanced pathing system from alpha 0.8.0.22 so your construction vehicles will not cause big queues at the entry point of the building.


!!!!! WARNING. PLEASE READ !!!!! :
This building NEEDS a ROAD CONNECTION or emergency vehicles will not have access to it.

I added advanced coding to make the construction phase work more efficiently. That however needs a road connection to work the way it should and forces fire trucks and ambulances to use road connections too.
So if you only connect it through pedestrian connections this building will burn.
If you want to use only pedestrian connections please use "The Centipede House SE" version.

Я улучшил код чтобы сделать этап постройки более эффективным. Тем не менее, для этого требуется соединение с дорогой, чтобы заставить здание работать так, как оно задумано, а также заставить пожарные автомобили и автомобили скорой помощи использовать дорожные соединения. ! UPDATE 14.04.2020:
>> Added a LOD to the buildings at 1500m. Meaning that when you get to 1500 meters away from the building, it switches to a much lower resolution polygon model (20% of the original) to have less impact on game FPS.
It may be slightly noticeable visually but definitely worth the savings in polygon count.
No need for anything to be done if you have already built the buildings. The changes are done on the fly.

Disclaimer: Parts of the in-game models and textures created by the game developers were used within the mod so adapting this mod for other games is a big NO NO!
