Since the overhaul changes absolutely EVERYTHING, it is going to be uploaded as an entirely separate mod, allowing players to keep this version to preserve universes.

"The Backrooms" adds four new dungeons to encounter on any planet (for the most part), as well as a capturable Spirit, Backrooms lore, and a mysterious dimension...

The Backrooms, based off of the popular cursed image.

• Spawns underground
  
• Doesn't spawn in underground biomes such as bones, mini villages, etc.
  
• Tunnel/hall-shaped

The Backrooms Warehouse is a massive underground warehouse complex. It's a dark, rusty, abandoned warehouse with many left over storage boxes and shelves. The top of the warehouse can be seen above the surface, so you'll know when you find one.

• Spawns on any planet (except ones with lots of liquid--oceanic, lava, etc)
  
• Storage objects can contain treasures/items
  
• Goes beneath the surface of the planet it's spawned on, and spreads out

The Backrooms Maze is a large complex building that spawns on the surface. This strange place has hallways that stop and start--in a maze-like pattern. There are two floors of this building that inertwine with each other, as well. There are secret rooms and pathways...

• Spawns on any planet (except ones with lots of liquid--oceanic, lava, etc)
  
• Chests can contain treasures/items
  
• Tunnel/hall-shaped

This research facility was studying a mysterious object---a door, which seemed to lead into a different dimension. However, the scientists are long gone and the facility has been abandoned..but for what reason..?

• Spawns on Midnight planets ONLY
  
• Lockers/storage objects can contain treasures/items
  
• Apex-themed building

THIS MOD DOES NOT USE CUSTOM BLOCKS. All the blocks used to make the dungeons are vanilla.

Within these dungeons, two unique enemies spawn.
First, there's the Backrooms Ghost, an invisible creature which makes a loud humming sound--like the buzz of fluorescent lights on max power. You will not be able to see it, but it will be able to see you..and when it does, it..screams. Loudly.
Note: The Ghost is NOT invincible and CAN BE KILLED. It cannot be captured though, unless you have a mod that allows you to capture anything.

Second is the Backrooms Spirit. A ghost-like being who CAN be seen. It also has an eerie hum that surrounds it. Although it appears innocent enough, let it notice you and you will be in for a surprise...
Note: The Spirit is capturable!

Uninstalling isn't recommended, because dungeons are added to planets, and once you remove the mod, those dungeons may have issues, even though they were made with vanilla objects. Also, this mod adds monsters to those dungeons too, as well as a "dimension".
