VRMod External Camera

This addon allows VR users to spawn in a third-person camera which displays on their desktop, similarly to the base game's camera tool.

Spawn in the SENT under the "VR" category and press your use key on the camera guide entity. Then press your camera hotkey (G by default) while in VR to toggle the third-person view.
The screen's position and angle will follow the camera guide until you remove the entity.
It is also possible to use a Vive tracker to sync the movements of a real camera to the in-game one. To do this, navigate to your garrysmod/data/vrmod folder and edit the vrmod_action_manifest.txt file. Add another pose and save the file. Next, start VRMod, navigate to the legacy SteamVR bindings menu and change the device to your desired tracker. Select "Edit Action Poses" and select the pose that you created in your action manifest file. You should now be able to select your tracker in-game.
