However, I'm also finding the map detail just isn't fully there. Manhattan couldn't really fit a train station on it in the map for DC all the way to Boston. In the interest or detail and realism I'm considering splitting the maps in two halves NEC West Half: Washington DC - New York and NEC East Half: New York - Boston. Splitting the map would also allow me to incorporate things like the limited NJT and LIRR systems and more realistic detail while still maintaining mapscale. Also worth noting the full map DC to Boston version of the map would only allow me to feature the Accela cities only along the route.
What would you prefer? Please let me know and feel free to discuss in the comments below.
Currently working on a new map. However, this map needs to be revamped as I've finally got down a good work flow on my map building processes. I am planning on doing a NEC 2.0 megalomatic highly detailed map (see my Marias Pass map as an example) next.
