Mod Features


Crossbow Turret:
  • Uses Stone Arrows as Ammo
  • Don't need power ( can be enabled via gus.ini )
  • Engram can be learned on level 35
  • Has all the advanced targeting options like the Tek Turret
  • Slots, Damage and Firerate are configurable in the gus.ini

Tranq Crossbow Turret:
  • Uses Tranq Arrows as Ammo
  • Don't need power ( can be enabled via gus.ini )
  • Engram can be learned on level 35
  • Has all the advanced targeting options like the Tek Turret
  • Slots, Damage and Firerate are configurable in the gus.ini
  • Don't actualy does Damage but its used for Torpor amount.

Flame Crossbow Turret:
  • Uses Flame Arrows as Ammo
  • Don't need power ( can be enabled via gus.ini )
  • Engram can be learned on level 35
  • Has all the advanced targeting options like the Tek Turret
  • Slots, Damage and Firerate are configurable in the gus.ini


Gus.ini settings:

Put this lines in your gameusersettings.ini at the very bottom.

[PrimitivTurret]
CrossbowTurretSlots=X (for X put a number from 1 to 30)
CrossbowTurretDmg=X (for X put a number from 1 to 500, 100 is default)
CrossbowTurretFirerate=X (for X put a number from 0.1 to 5, 1 is default lower numbers mean higher firerate)
TranqCrossbowTurretSlots=X (for X put a number from 1 to 30)
TranqCrossbowTurretDmg=X (for X put a number from 1 to 500, 100 is default higher dmg means more tropor per shot)
TranqCrossbowTurretFirerate=X (for X put a number from 0.1 to 5, 1 is default lower numbers mean higher firerate)
FlameCrossbowTurretSlots=X (for X put a number from 1 to 30)
FlameCrossbowTurretDmg=X (for X put a number from 1 to 800, 250 is default)
FlameCrossbowTurretFirerate=X (for X put a number from 0.1 to 10, 2.5 is default lower numbers mean higher firerate)
AdminIsAllowedToToggleUnlimetedAmmo=(can be true or false if true admins can toggle infinite ammo for every turret individually via the radial menu, default is false)
RequirePower= ( can be true or false if true turrets need power to be activated, default is false )
AllowSparkpowderForPower= ( can be true or false if true and RequirePower is true Sparkpowder can be used to power the turrets, default is false )

Well at lest the normal crossbow turret still works, the fire and tranq one burns thought ammo like no tomorrow with out even damaging the target

As of 5/8/23 this mod is causing my server (hosted by Gportal) to fail to launch, resulting in the need of a complete wipe and replacement of the server. Love this mod, hope it's not gone for good.

So in S+ there is a Ballista turret and a Cannon Turret is there a way you could do the same thing for turrets like that? I like you mode and how it is set up. So if I do not need S+ for those it is 1 less spot taken by a mod. Keep up the work!

This is interesting. I'll have to give this a try.
Though, I do wish the alternative power source was Gasoline instead of Sparkpowder as I'd say the former is more balanced and makes a lot more sense than the latter. (Also there are a few other mods that have turrets that run of Gasoline.)

@VulcanTourist: I can confirm that at least the stone arrow turret works underwater. Mounted a set on the back of my Mosa Platform and they fired fine.

Placement is all three.

Can we have a ini setting for it not to be placeable on the ground, but require foundation support.

Suggestion to make UnlimetedAmmo as ini configurable enabled on all/each turret without using AdminIsAllowedToToggleUnlimetedAmmo setting ?
